PPSC Application Process and Eligibility:

Selection criteria for PPSC are not that hard but the competition is quite high. If there are vacancies of 10 people then thousands of candidates apply for appearing for competition exam.  This makes it even harder to get through and achieve a dream job.

To apply for any management position, a minimum of 2nd division Master / BS is required for higher-level posts. Otherwise, you can do just fine with FA/BA with some specialized course like B.ed etc.

How to Attempt PPSC Written Test and Interview :

Let us explain the steps briefly so you can prepare properly and get your mind ready for each step:

  • You need to get a minimum of 40 Marks to get shortlisted. This makes 40% of the total marks and usually, candidates score between 32 to 37%.
  • 100 MCQ’s will be there each carries 1 mark. Make sure you only go for the option you are 100% sure because there is a negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer.
  • You will be invited for an interview based on the performance of your test.
  • If there are 10 positions then normally 10×5 candidates are called for an interview so you can say the 400th number will be the last candidate who can hopefully appear for an interview.
  • The interview panel consisted of four to eight people. They specialized in different fields but mainly related fields are considered. A phycology test is also a must which will be taken during the interview with your gestures and how to go on with the conversation.
  • A PPSC representative will ask you personal questions. The first question is to Introduce yourself where you need to start with your name, place, degree and educational institution, etc. You should talk about yourself for at least 2 minutes. He or she may ask another question for an elaborative introduction.
  • Two people related to your topic will ask you at least three questions. The psychologist will ask you for general knowledge or personal questions. The interview can range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
  • A pro tip is to keep it normal, do not over Burdon yourself as it will make the environment easy.

Number of Vacancies for PPSC Posts in 2023

The number of vacancies depends on how much quota Government gives every year to departments. On average 500 to 900 jobs are announced annually and 10 to 30 times candidates attempt the exams. Departments also get loads of work during these days and difficult for them to manage the whole recruitment process.
